Reflecting upon Blogging: A Blogging Threefer

Here is an opportunity to write one game journal entry that does the work of three. That is, if you choose to write the blog post below, it will count for three of the regular posts in your game journal.

The idea is simple: rather than post a reflection upon a game or some reading, you’re going to write a blog post about your own blogging.

Begin by reading all of your posts and comments (you can access a list of your posts from the Archive menu at the top of the site). As you reread them, take notes, and notice what you noticed in your earlier posts.

Compose a short analysis and reflection of your posts. Some questions to consider in your threefer post might include: What do you usually write about in your posts? Are there broad themes or specific concerns that reoccur in your writing? Has the nature of your posts changed in the past fifteen weeks? What changes do you notice, and how might you account for those changes? What surprised you as you reread your work? What ideas or threads in your posts do you see as worth revisiting? What else do you notice? What aspects of the game journal do you value most, and how does it show up in your posts?

If you decide to do this blogging about your own blogging, please post it to the blog by the last day of class, May 1.
